2012 Cadillac ELR Announced

Cadillac announced today that the production version from the Converj concept from back in 2009, will be called the ELR, which will be a luxury, premium coupe, powered by an electric drivetrain. Despite the fact that Cadillac is moving forward using the manufacture of the ELR, the specifications and technical information on the brand new model have not been revealed yet. However, Cadillac does point out that the ELR will have a T-shaped lithium ion battery, that will power an electrical motor. The ELR Caddy will also have a four-cylinder combustion engine, which will be used like a generator for extending the plethora of the batteries. Concerning the range of the ELR, Cadillac did not release any details.
